~Day of Sadness~
Sitting in third hour and an urgent announcement
from our principal come one,
Telling teachers to turn TVs to channel 4,
Students waiting...not for sure.
TVs blasting the name Osama bin Laden,
the World Trade Center going up in flames,
Us students wondering in our minds
how could someone do this?
A reason we cannot find.
We later find out, what it all is about,
Some of my friends knew people
in the buildings that were in flames,
Waiting and waiting for the deceased peoples names.
Terrorists, violence, I don't see the point
We should all be in life as one combined joint.
On this day, September eleven,
many died and went to heaven,
We will never forget those who risked and lost their lives,
fighting for us right in front of our eyes.
Family and friends who have lost others,
sisters, cousins and even brothers,
Those who lost husbands , wives and children too,
cannot believe what the acts of terrorism can do.
In these past couple of months, people have tried to move on,
Just waiting for the day, this will all be done.

9/11
On September eleven,
many people went to heaven.
Ages eleven to seventy-seven,
names like Kevin.
To some people it doesn't matter,
oh, it matters alright!
Everyday i grow madder,
at the fact that we have not caught him.
Him, who is him?
Him is Bin Laden.
One day we will say "got him."
After saying those words,
bin Laden will hate the words.
Those words to him mean,
No more running in herds, from cave to cave,
no more fears of his going away,
And no more sunny days.
For when we are done with him,
only tears in his eyes will be coming his way.
For death is too good for a man living that kind of life.
Life has no meaning to him,
For he showed us on September eleven.

September 11th
The plane came crashing down
people were running around.
None knew what to do
I asked myself "Now who?"
Then the second plane came
the children stopped their games
So on September eleven,
Many people were on their way to Heaven.

Our Nation’s Tragedy
The eleventh of September,
A day, We will always remember.
We thought it was just another day,
So we didn’t take much time to pray.
The sun burst through with a vibrant ray
We didn’t know the sky would soon turn a smokey gray.
As the buildings stood tall,
We didn’t know they were about to fall.
As the planes aligned, ready for boarding,
The passengers never knew it would be their last morning.
When the passengers received their frightful warning,
They hit their knees with helpless mourning.
In a moment, the impact came.
The sky now, a fiery flame.
We know our lives will never be the same,
Into God’s hands, we place each name.

September eleventh was a sad day for all.
Why did those buildings have to fall?
How could we lose so many lives,
The pain is cutting us like stabbing knifes.
Everyone is sad!
Why did this happen, its bad?
When i heard the news it made me cry,
That so many people had to die.
I know the saying "God takes the best".
But why did he put those people to rest?
Those people didnt desever to die.
Its really sad because we couldn't say goodbye.
God knew we loved them with all our hearts,
Why did he have to tear us apart?
The Untied States is the best, but I dont like it when they put people to rest.
I still love the Untied States with all my heart,
But God please don't tear us apart!

*sweet september*
september, september are you okay
air planes won't crash anymore
as you sway, you're on your way
your two towers stand there
in the chilly morning air
sweet september, you're in the air
september, september, you will be okay
even though the people around you
do not seem okay.
the air around you
is filled with smoke
but not your name
for it brings hope

POEM SUBMITTED 6/3/02

*September 11th*
Over 3,000 people went to work one day…
Not knowing what may come their way.
At 8:45 one tower went down…
Then the other as people began to frown.
Fireman and police man came to do their best…
But this was real it wasn’t a test.
As people saw what had happened they began to cry…
For many people they knew were there as the thought with a sigh.
Later on that very same day…
The Pentagon was bombed, so the President went away.
Osama and his people were the terrorist…
But they have been put on the wanted list.
President Bush will find him and he will be killed…
But Osama has been taught and is very, very skilled.
To conclude this poem with a short something to say…
GOD BLESS AMERICA AND LET US ALL PRAY!

*Scared*
Help everyone is crying,
So many dieing,
September A nightmare is born,
Help I scared,
What should I do?
I cant help my self,
how can I help you,
What is going on,
Is it the end,
Is it true,
911 that's the date,
A day of fear and loss,
So many gone,
How could they do this,
I am Scared

POEM SUBMITTED 6/1/02

As I sit down, I want to cry,
And feel the tears come from my eyes.
A whisper of your solemn love,
Is draped upon me from up above.
I want to sob, what should I do?
I keep finding myself missing you.
But I am thankful, I do not lie,
That your new home is in the sky.
You were taken from me from the heavens,
On the day of September 11th,
But I find myself thinking, though it cuts like a knife,
I'm so happy that you've finally started your life.
